Sunny Beach

Sunny Beach is the largest Bulgarian resort located on the Black Sea Riviera, about 35 km north of Bourgas. It boasts wide and almost endless sandy beaches lined with tall hotels. This is undoubtedly the most visited resort in all of Bulgaria.

The construction of the resort Sunny Beach began around 1965, followed by a new phase of construction sometime in the 1990s. As before, so today Sunny Beach is very popular among tourists because it offers quality services, reasonable prices, sea and sunny days. You can use more than 150 restaurants and entertainment, there is also a wide range of sports.

Unfortunately, hotel buildings still look like in socialist times, many hotels resemble classic blocks of flats in residential complexes. The devastation of time is also evident in local parks and public places. However, new modern and luxury hotels, apartments and villas are being built, which give the resort a new flavor. The dilapidated sidewalks are gradually being replaced with new perfect pavement. This aesthetic shortcoming can be forgiven, because otherwise Sunny Beach is a seaside resort that has everything. Sunny Beach is still one of the most famous and sought after places for recreation by the sea in Bulgaria.

During the main summer season Sunny Beach becomes a lively tourist town with a developed tourist infrastructure. It offers everything that visitors may need during their vacation. Here you will find mini markets, souvenir shops, pharmacies, tourist information center, bank, post office or clinic. In the evening you can enjoy the local bars, cafes, nightclubs, discos or go to a delicacy in the selected restaurant.

The beach of Sunny Beach is more than 7 km long and is washed by the clean and warm Black Sea. Parents will certainly appreciate the slightly sloping seabed near the shore, thanks to which they can even play with their children at sea. The beach is maintained and offers ample facilities in the form of changing rooms, showers and toilets. There are also services needed for a pleasant stay, such as umbrellas for rent, sun loungers, pedal boats or water skis. Some hotels provide these beach services to their customers for free. Many attractions for children are built on the beach, such as slides, swings, swimming pools and many others.

You can diversify your holiday in Sunny Beach with different sports. Surfing or yachting is available at the sea, you can rent water skis or scooters, go paragliding or go on a boat trip. However, great sports activities are also available on land. Tennis players, football players or volleyball players will have fun here. Then families with children can go horseback riding, ride in the city, go on a walking tour to nearby Nessebar or take a boat trip along the coast. There is also the possibility to play mini golf, ride small electric scooters or in a tourist train.
